Editorial Assessment

Assessment of full manuscript including overview of strengths and weaknesses, a detailed rubric breakdown of literary elements (voice, structure, characterization, plot, tone, etc…) and a full manuscript overview in an editorial letter of feedback.

Developmental Editing

Analysis of existing story-line with suggested story architecture revisions, character analysis, etc…

Includes margin edits, written response with improvement plan, and a Zoom Meeting consultation session with the editor/editors.

The hourly rate is established after sample evaluation and consult.

Copy Editing

Written Analysis of Content: Character, Consistency, Plausibility, Emotional Pull, Plot Structure, Predictability, Pacing, etc. including line-level edits to refine voice, maintain consistency, and improve clarity.

Proof Reading and Fact Checking

Final proof reading edits to catch and correct even small errors in spelling, grammar, and punctuation.

Plus, fact checking to ensure that all elements presented as facts, figures, era-correct technologies, and statistics in your book are accurate.

Sean Hagerty

Leigh Stroh

Over a 30 year career as a writing instructor, author Leigh Stroh taught creative writing courses designed to help aspiring authors sound their unique stories in their most authentic voice.

Coupled with recently securing a publishing contract for his debut novel Just A Shot Away (launching in the fall of 2026), he can now offer an experienced editorial eye that has navigated the writing process from creation through published product.
